SUMMER-SUMMER-SUMMER 2017

Summer is just the best season. To me, anyway. Perhaps because this is when we take leave of the
bare landscape and its clean lines, often clear skies and still waters. Now the trees, flowers, birds
and colours and greenery take over, lush, lively and abundant as ever.
INSPIRING FLORALS
Just as Vincent van Gogh found inspiration in sunflowers and irises, I too find myself influenced
by nature’s blooms. Following a visit to the Van Gogh museum in Amsterdam, that’s when all the
flowers blossomed for this collection – SUMMER 2017. The ANEMONE motif has been adopted as
the signature design for this summer’s styles in sunny yelow and orange, and slightly cooler indigo blue and the naturals and black. Most of them in lush organic cotton.
THE WILDS OF NATURE
Look out! A snake wriggled into Pia’s collection! The garden of EDEN of course had a serpent that tricked Adam and Eve. A story that ties in with the wonders of the wild, untamed green garden. The colour palettes are thrilling too - black and intense, natural and understated, flattering blue with shades of midnight blue.
CREATIVELY crafted by the CAMARGUE
Warm winds sweep over the sun-drenched CAMARGUE with its distinctive flora and diverse wildlife. We drift along the shore, relaxing in garments designed for the simple and honest life in the country. Playful dots and varied stripes in styles to cherish for a LONG time to come. The unique RANDOM blouse was given
a wonderful block print in a workshop in Dehli, India. This kind of craftsmanship
is a real passion of mine!
STRIPED, COLOURFUL & RECYCLED COTTON
What would a summer collection be without a range of classic block stripes and colourful, solid-
colour jersey? It’s such a thrill to present a little collection in recycled cotton too, produced largely from remnants from the production of new cotton yarn. A rustic cotton that comes out perfectly in
a striped T-shirt and the world’s best summer sweater. Yet another step towards a GREENER, MORE PLEASANT WORLD!
Oh, the joy of it – SUMMER 2017!

best wishes,
Gudrun
