Knitted recycled cotton: Soft and supple 100% cotton fabric, of which 80% is recycled cotton. The recycled cotton is reclaimed surplus from the textile industry. The surplus yarns are colour-sorted, deconstructed and respun into new yarns. By sourcing recycled materials, we reduce our environmental footprint – our use of water, land, energy and chemicals. Delicate wash 30°. Reshape the garment while damp and dry flat. Reshape by ironing. Store horizontally. 1-2% shrinkage. Made in Greece/Bulgaria.

We like mixing figure-fit with more generously cut fashion. That's why we have four different types of tailoring. You'll find information on the different types of fit in the detailed descriptions of each item. The choice of material also influences the amount of movement allowed by a garment. Knits and jersey-knits have more give in them than woven, less stretchy materials. That's why our weaves are often more generously tailored. For you to be as happy as possible with your purchases, we recommend that you spend a few moments taking your measurements and comparing them with our size chart.

These products are manufactured entirely or largely at audited factories geared to the best possible production processes for the external environment and human health. We make strict requirements for all the influential processes in the manufacturing to be certified, in some cases all the way to the stitching factory. We recognise the GOTS, Fairtrade and STeP by OEKO-TEX standards.

Gudrun’s Good Guide
– A whole collection to take pride in.

We aim to have as many of our products as possible produced in an environmentally-friendly way, not just a limited and exclusive line. Over the decades, environmental awareness has evolved and gone in and out of fashion. From the 80s when eco-friendliness was tentative and virtually impossible, through the 90s when we launched our first organic collection, to today when green choices are obvious.

In the forest of eco-labelling systems, we felt that having our own label would make it easier for our customers to find their way around our collections. So, in 2008 we introduced our own eco-labelling system, which we called our Leaves label, and in 2017 we will be updating our labelling system and Gudrun’s Good Guide.

We aim to find the most sustainable designs for everything we make! Once we’ve found our way to the best possible fibre, like for our striped sweater and tunic containing no less than 80% recycled cotton, we do our utmost not to lose it. This does pose challenges, however. It means finding the right colours in an already established palette of recycled fibres that matches our own colourful look. We experiment, try again and get it right. What really confirms that we’ve succeeded in our efforts is you choosing to join us on this sustainable journey. In the end, that’s what makes the difference!
