Knit “Field” in various yarns: 49% cotton, 39% of which is recycled cotton/30% recycled wool/5% mohair/5% alpaca/10% nylon, 6% of which is recycled/1% other fibers. Medium-weight flat and purl-knit in different stripes with a soft drape. By using recycled materials in part, we reduce our footprint with regard to water, land use, energy and chemicals. Soft, slightly woolly garments are more sensitive than others. Some pilling after repeated wear may therefore occur. Carefully remove any pilling by hand. We recommend airing out in humid weather or steaming with an iron. As a last option, hand wash cold or wash in the washing machine set to the hand-wash cycle in a wash bag. Use detergent designed for wool. Gently reshape while damp. Dry flat. Shrinkage 2-3%. Made in Morocco.

“Field” poncho/sweater in a recycled yarn blend

When we consider function and adapting to temperature changes, dressing in layers of lightweight or airy styles is the heart of our approach. Summer may be behind us, but we aren’t quite ready to wear heavier garments just yet. We still want to enjoy the mild air! Our poncho/sweater feels like the perfect compromise. It’s easy to pull on over your head and wear as a dress or a jersey top, and you can pair it with pants or a skirt. But every piece needs a little something extra. When an idea has been swirling in your head for a while, sometimes a stroke of genius comes from out of the blue. Why not twist it, so it can be worn with long and short sleeves? Done and done! Now you can twist and change our innovative “Field” poncho – wear it however you like!

To ensure complete satisfaction, we recommend checking your measurements and comparing them with our sizing table.

Our fit

We like mixing figure-fit with more generously cut fashion. That's why we have four different types of tailoring. You'll find information on the different types of fit in the detailed descriptions of each item. The choice of material also influences the amount of movement allowed by a garment. Knits and jersey-knits have more give in them than woven, less stretchy materials. That's why our weaves are often more generously tailored.

Figure-fit
The garment is close fitting, with a maximum of 2½ inches room for movement around the bust and a maximum of 1½ inches around the hips.

Standard fit
The garment has 3-6½ inches room for movement around the bust and 1½-4½ inches around the hips.

Generous fit
A free and easy fit with at least 6½ inches room for movement around the bust and 5 inches or more around the hips.

Extra generous fit
Lots of room for movement, 12 inches or more around the bust.

Gudrun’s Good Guide
– An entire collection to be proud of.

Our goal is to have as many products as possible produced to meet environmentally friendly standards, not just a small exclusive portion. Environmental awareness has evolved over the decades, wandering in and out of fashion. From the first tentative, almost unfeasible efforts of the 1980s, through our first eco-collection in the 1990s to today, when green is taken for granted.

In the maze of environmental labels, we felt that having an ecolabel of our own could be a simple way for you as a customer to navigate among our collections. In 2008 we developed our Leaf-based system and in 2017 we are updating this system and addingGudrun’s Good Guide.

Three different types of yarn in alternating stripes of varying widths and textures create a landscape of billowing fields in our exciting “Field” sweater and poncho. Just imagine if you could actually paint with textiles! A range of shades and fibers, from dry recycled cotton to recycled wool and a fuzzy alpaca blend, add yet another dimension. Plus, you can change how you wear this piece by turning it 90 degrees to form a lovely poncho – what more could you want!
