Block-printed organic cotton clothes
This is a uniquely distinctive colour scheme. The garments are dipped first in indigo, then once in pomegranate, which produces the green shade. So you see, the process of creating a collection using natural dyes involves many steps.
Indigo holds a cherished place in our textile lovers’ heart. It is simply fascinating watching the dye come to life in a vat in Bagru. Then seeing how the fabric or garment, when it leaves the vat, changes from yellow-green to deep indigo blue. It really is a magical moment!
When patterns meet
Our kimono is handcrafted – flowers on one side, stripes on the other.
The red colour in our Natural dyes collection comes from Indian madder. It is a climbing plant that is cultivated in India and other countries. The plant’s scientific name is Rubia cordifolia and its roots are used in traditional Chinese medicine.
Craftsmanship at its best – dyed with natural pigments
This beautiful collection of handcrafted creations has everything you could wish for. A large flower, a small flower and a stripe – the patterns are all printed with wooden blocks using indigo and other authentic natural dyes. As the natural dyes fade, a patina develops over time, enhancing the unique character of the clothes. Our lovely little cardigan is also dyed with natural pigments that produce soft, muted hues.
