Mora – a place where craftsmanship lives and thrives

Swedish folklore  – inspired by Mora

My own take on the traditional folk costumes of the historical Swedish province of Dalarna was inspired by the quaint town of Mora. The white sheepskin boa is surely the boldest piece in this range; a range that brings you an abundance of craftwork and colour, and that blends harmoniously patterned knitwear with hand-embroidered roses. The Swedish textile tradition is no stranger to block-printed patterns either. What I want to highlight most of all in my “Mora” collection however is the natural shade of white we used – no dye or bleach required.
