PLASTIC PACKAGING

What material is used?
Our packaging is made from LDPE plastic (Low-Density Polyethylene), a lightweight, durable and flexible material that protects
products from damage and moisture.

Is the material renewable?
Yes. This plastic is 100% bio-based and produced from renewable raw materials such as bioethanol derived from sugar cane,
sugar beet, or biomass residues.

Important to know: renewable does not mean biodegradable. The material does not naturally break down in the environment,
but it can be recycled and reused.

Is the packaging recyclable?
Yes! Our packaging is 100% recyclable and should be disposed of with plastic waste. When recycled, it can be transformed into
new plastic products, helping to create a more circular use of resources.

Summary
Our plastic packaging is bio-based and fully recyclable. However, it is not a complete solution to the global plastic issue.
Significant environmental benefits are achieved when the packaging is correctly sorted and returned to the recycling system.
•    Partially renewable raw materials reduce dependence on fossil fuels such as oil and gas
•    Recyclable → can be made into new plastic products if properly sorted
•    Lightweight → generate lower transport emissions than, for example, cardboard

Together we can take small steps towards a more sustainable future – one package at a time.

PAPER PACKAGING

What does the PAP 22 label mean?
It is a recycling code indicating that the bag is made of paper or cardboard and its use is a requirement of the European
Packaging Waste Directive.

What do the Italian words on the bag mean?
They mean that the bag and the label should be sorted as paper waste.

Why is there a symbol with a litter bin?
It is used as a friendly reminder not to litter.

What does the FSC label mean?
FSC stands for Forest Stewardship Council – an international certification ensuring that the wood used comes from responsibly
managed forests. This includes consideration for the environment, biodiversity, workers’ rights and local communities.

Is the bag recyclable?
Yes! The entire bag and its label are made from paper, allowing them to be recycled together easily. Paper can be recycled
multiple times, conserving both raw materials and energy.

Why does it say “Reduce, Reuse, Recycle”?
It is a reminder for all of us: reduce waste at the source where possible, reuse when you can, and recycle when necessary.
Small actions make a big difference.

Summary
Our paper packaging is recyclable and compostable. With the guarantee of resource efficiency and environmentally responsible
production practices. Our paper packaging is easy to sort for recycling.
