In the garden at Capellagården I came across a bright flower called TICKSEED. Growing freely in one of the flowerbeds to be made into a beautiful orange dye. We picked armfuls of these small flowers and dropped them into a hot vat. Fabrics dipped into the vat came out a glowing orange. The summer evenings were balmy and I sat painting in the garden. This is what I produced in those pleasant hours when the inspiration was flowing!
