Butterfly celebrations

Welcome to our Butterfly celebrations with a special talk by Holly Tooker – butterfly expert at the American Museum of Natural History!
Enjoy a fascinating deep-dive into the world of butterflies with Holly, who will also be telling us about AMNH’s Vivarium. She will be sharing her favourite species via an engaging digital presentation. Bring along your curiosity and plenty of questions!
To help you grow your knowledge, we’ll have extra materials on hand, including info sheets from the Museum, a New York Times article featuring Holly, and a QR code to explore the Vivarium online.
We’ll be serving bubbles and light bites, and you’ll receive a complimentary tote bag when you purchase two or more items.

GOTHENBURG
Floral inspiration in our store
WHEN: Saturday 9 May, talks by the florist at 12 noon and 2 pm
WHERE: Södra Larmgatan 18, Gothenburg
Spring has officially sprung and we’re celebrating with a burst of blossom, colour and creativity! We’re delighted to welcome a fantastic florist, Lisa from Blomrum, who’ll be sharing her expertise and passion.
At 12 noon and 2 pm, Lisa will be talking about the art of tying the perfect bouquet for different occasions. She’ll be sharing her thoughts on shape, colour and texture, as well as excellent advice on how to keep your flowers fresh for longer. There’ll be time to ask questions too.
We’re also toasting our new fluttering butterfly collection with refreshments and a complimentary tote bag for everyone who treats themselves to a purchase. We can’t wait to welcome you to this inspiring afternoon!

Welcome to our Malmö store for an inspiring and colourful event that invites us to think about nature. The focus is on pollinators – those small, yet vital helpers – and everyday ways that we can look after them. Even if you live in the city, how can you make a difference? We share simple and creative tips for balconies, windowsills and flowerpots. Small ways that we can attract bees, butterflies and other insects – and create a vibrant and beautiful environment around us. We are thrilled to welcome a special guest on Saturday 9 May between 10 am and 12 noon. Sari Salo (@sarisalofi) is a colour expert and ready to whisk you away into the magical world of hues. This is your chance to book a personal, complimentary colour analysis to discover “your season” and the specific shades that make you glow. Perfect inspiration for your summer wardrobe!

Join us for a creative afternoon with our amazing ambassador Alison Aune who will be showing us how to make himmeli. Alison is a professor of art education at the University of Minnesota Duluth and has been a Gudrun ambassador for more than fifteen years. She is an award-winning artist whose work is inspired by traditional Nordic folk art and symbolic decorative designs that she integrates into her mixed-media paintings.
Himmeli are traditional Nordic ornaments, originally hung from ceilings as decorations. We will be crafting our own versions while enjoying drinks and snacks. While you’re here you can browse for unique treasures – and enjoy a 10% discount on your purchase.
