Who can resist something warm and fuzzy? Velour arrived on the fashion scene in the 1960s. Back then, it offered a completely fresh, vibrant look with exciting patterns. The era’s palette championed plum purple, olive green and pink. This winter’s velour arrivals bring that same plush warmth to chilly days. Subtle lustre and beautiful colour reproduction make velour an ideal choice for both everyday and special occasions.

Clothes in velour

How is velour made?It is produced on standard circular knitting machines that can be set up for various techniques. They include plain single jersey, sweatshirt fabric and terry cloth. The machinery operates at high speeds, usually knitting with undyed yarn. The fabric is then dyed and printed in a wide variety of ways. This winter’s velour offers solid-toned layers of deep burgundy, serene blue, misty green and black – pieces that feel as comfortable as they look. Three new styles: a button-through dress, a straight cardigan or indoor jacket, and elegant harem trousers. Here we combine simplicity, style and comfort in beautiful shades.
