The Indian rainbow palette
We are being creative using coloured threads from “Indras bow” – the name of the rainbow in Indian mythology. On a visit to Hyderabad in India, we observe skilled artisans hand-making ikat textiles. Bringing a wide spectrum of colours to these clothes. “Hyderabad” ikat in rich tones, breezy light “Indra” check, and bold “Shiva” print. Match them with solid colours and easy-to-wear pieces – voile crinkle trousers and Gudrun’s favourite style cardigan. Now with a finely knitted, textured check pattern.
