I was picking orders when I started, but my responsibilities have increased over the years. They now include managing returns, customer enquiries, purchasing and scheduling. The more grit I’ve shown, the more responsibility I have been given. 

What makes your job fun?

Understanding what the customer wants and being able to solve things. I also like it when there’s plenty to do. Moreover, the vibe in the warehouse is good and our returns team is close-knit. We chat and listen to music as we fold clothes – time at work is pleasant and enjoyable. 

What would you say to someone considering applying for a job here?

Our warehouse is not a typical warehouse. It’s filled with daylight, there aren’t any large machines and it doesn’t have an industrial feel. Those who like it here are really happy. 

I design, test, discuss and develop collections – both my own and together with Gudrun. At the moment, I’m working on several collections simultaneously, which requires organisation and creativity.

What do you most enjoy?

The opportunities to combine ideas with colours, shapes and hand-crafted designs. We work closely with purchasing, colleagues and suppliers, and it is fascinating to see how our sketches are transformed into finished garments.

What would you say to someone considering applying for a job here?

This is a creative and design-driven company that allows designers to fully express themselves – all the way from the concept stage to the final product. The pace is fast, but inspiring. Here, you’re allowed to grow and develop and get involved and shape what we do.

I make sure that the brand remains consistent and I also have, for a period, full responsibility for the content of our social media.

Tell us about your career journey with the company?

I’ve had a number of roles since I joined the company in 2015 as a web producer. I have progressed from junior to senior, led content production and ultimately been able to shape the creative leadership role that I have today – a role that Gudrun herself wanted the company to have.

What would you say to someone considering applying for a job here?

The company offers great opportunities for growth. If you have an enquiring mind and like to take the initiative, you can shape your role. No two days are the same – working here means getting involved and making real contributions.

This involves a lot of cross-functional teamwork and projects to ensure that all the various parts work together. As an international company, we speak many languages and conduct sales in numerous markets. This places demands on both content production and function.

Why did you apply to work here?

Gudrun Sjödén is a strong brand. There’s a lot of data to work with, but the role also offers creative freedom. Ideas are sometimes allowed to come before figures and performance targets here, which makes it even more fun to be involved in driving the company forward.
