Parcel wrapping

Hands tying a ribbon and placing decorations around Christmas presents in natural colours.

Follow our step-by-step guide:

You’ll need:
•    Gudrun Sjödén’s white ribbon (or other decorative trim)
•    Dried orange slices
•    Cinnamon sticks
•    Baubles
•    Rosehip stems, greenery, other natural materials (optional)
•    Scissors

•    Hot glue gun or thin steel wire (for extra adhesion, optional)

1. Wrap the gift in paper of your choice – preferably natural paper for a rustic, Christmassy feel.
2. Measure around the parcel and cut the ribbon long enough to be able to tie a knot or bow.
3. Wrap the ribbon around the parcel and tie a double knot or a bow on top.
4. Tuck a slice of dried orange, a cinnamon stick, a bauble or a small sprig of greenery under the ribbon, or tie it in place with the knot/bow (for extra stability, you could use thin steel wire or add a drop of glue).
5. Ensure the decoration is in the centre and the ribbon is arranged neatly around the parcel.
6. Finished! You’ve given the parcel a rustic, personal touch with a nature-inspired accent.

 A useful tip!
•    Mix different materials together.
•    Use a variety of decorations to create a visually exciting display under the tree.
•    Work with layers.
•    Group small decorative elements beneath the ribbon for a more elaborate effect.
•    Use different ribbon widths and bow sizes to add dynamic variety to your gifts.
