Lodhi Colony & National Crafts Museum in New Delhi

In all major cities, there are such interesting museums. This week, I'll share some that I've come across during my travels. I'll start in New Delhi, India, and end in New York. Finding something unique always brings me joy. It could be a tuk-tuk driver or someone at a hotel whom I strike up a conversation with, who then recommends an exhibition.

LODHI COLONY: is a few blocks in central Delhi where many old houses have been painted with fantastic patterns and colors. It was during the pandemic lockdown that authorities allowed artists and craftsmen to repaint a whole block. It became so colorful and different - simply exciting street art!

NATIONAL CRAFTS MUSEUM, Pragati Maidan in central New Delhi is another discovery from my recent trip to India. This time, it was an exhibition about IKAT, an amazing textile art that was described in detail. Yes – because India is truly a textile country.
