In southern Sweden lies the beautiful university city of Lund, where I was born. Nature takes centre stage in several lush oases; this time of year, the magnolia blooms in front of the university, and the Japanese cherry trees are draped in delicate pink in the Botanical Garden – or "Botan" as us Lund residents say. In the Botanical Garden, there's colour all year round through the 7,000 different species that grow here! A fantastic garden for everyone, run by Lund University.
For those curious about plants, exciting botanical walks for all ages, plant markets, and exhibitions are offered. I often bring my children here to see how the colours and scents change throughout the year, for picnics and nature play in the city.
