Mother Earth – textile minerals and minuscule details

礦物衣料和微小細節

Small, short lines dart this way and that, creating intriguing effects. The embroidery in this collection evokes the glitter of still water, so when the day came for our photoshoot, we headed off to the lake by scenic Ullungsfors in the midst of the flax fields of Hälsingland. So beautiful and enchanting!

Lake Norrsjö...

Mother Earth – textile minerals and minuscule details
The minerals and rocks that lie in layers under the Earth’s surface inspired this collection of wovens, made of organic cotton/linen, with neat embroidered stitches, like sparkles on a lake. We visited the lake next to beautiful Ullungsfors in the heart of Hälsingland, where flax was once widely grown. Its cultivation can be traced back centuries. Increased production and exports of linen and damask tablecloths to Europe in the 17th century brought considerable wealth to the area. It created the fortunes of the large farms.
