關於靛青染料與吊染工藝
Indigo is a very special dye that can be extracted from a range of plants. Different plants are used in different parts of the world. In India, deep pits are filled with the blue dye which is used many times over. Once the vibrancy of the colour fades, more dye is added to the pit. Dip-dyeing involves different parts of a garment being submerged in a dye vat for different amounts of time. While the lightest part might be submerged for as little as ten minutes, the darkest part will remain in the dye vat for much longer.
Join us on our fascinating journey into a sand-coloured world! There are pale yellows, vibrant madder reds and indigo cross-dyes. A single vat of indigo dye won’t do here!

Ikat
Ikat is an intricate way to pattern textiles by binding certain yarns before dyeing and weaving the fabric, so that the tied yarns keep their original colour. Our ikat dress has three colours – one base colour and two brighter hues that make up the stripes.
