The Indian RAINBOW palette
We are being creative using coloured threads from “Indra’s bow” – the name of the rainbow in Indian mythology. On a visit to Hyderabad in India, we observe skilled artisans hand-making IKAT textiles. Here, we’ve produced a warp ikat, where the warp threads are dyed like a pattern before weaving with the weft threads. Giving this collection a wide SPECTRUM of colours. “Hyderabad” ikat in muted tones, breezy light “Indra” check, and bold “Shiva” print. Match them with solid colours and easy-to-wear pieces – voile crinkle trousers and my favourite style cardigan. Now with a finely knitted, textured check pattern.
