Hello, I’m Philippa Vine and it’s an honour to be asked as a guest blogger to write about why I am such a huge fan of Gudrun. I am 54 years old and come from a small village in East Sussex, England. I am proud to have grown up on a farm which has helped me naturally connect with nature, food and the love of the colour of all our seasons. I am married to a farmer called Michael and we got married in New Orleans 30 years ago when we were on an annual visit for the Jazz and Heritage Festival and now have four grown-up children.
We live 20 minutes from the Seven Sisters coastline, and I love to connect to the sea, swim and do a regular yoga class on the beach throughout the year. I appeared on BBC TV’s Masterchef 20 years ago which then led me to become cookery correspondent for Farmer’s Weekly magazine for 13 years writing monthly recipes from my farmhouse kitchen. Cooking is my passion and I love creating with all the delicious colourful seasonal produce growing in the garden, hedgerow and farm to make meals for family, friends and also for visitors who come to my farmhouse kitchen and cookery school to share good food around the table.
