Laundry guideIt is best for the environment and your clothes if you wash them as little as possible.
Extend the lifespan of your clothes by airing them after use and removing small stains by hand. Here are a few more tips and tricks on how best to care for your clothes:
• Spray water on garments to make it easy to reshape them and smooth out creases.
• Wash clothes at a lower temperature or steam wash them when possible.
• Clothes with embroidered details, sequins or delicate finishes should be turned inside out or placed in a
mesh laundry bag before putting them in the wash.
• Velour garments should be tumble-dried on low/
medium heat to maintain softness.
• Down-filled garments should be tumble-dried at a low heat setting with at least three tennis balls until they are completely dry.
• Avoid dry cleaning whenever possible.
• Always follow the specific care instructions provided on the label inside the garment and on our website.

Care instructionsAlways store jersey garments and knitwear flat to retain their shape. These garments tend to stretch in length when wet after washing and if hung on a clothes hanger.
Some garments have ribbon loops sewn into the shoulder seams so they can be hung on a clothes hanger – be sure to use these! All garments come with a spare button attached to the care label – save it for when you need it.
Even the finest of wool fabrics may show some pilling after a few wears. But not to worry! These small balls of fibre can be carefully removed using a fabric shaver or a de-pilling comb.

Shoes and bagsLeather, suede and nubuck shoes and bags deserve a little extra care and attention. We recommend professional cleaning for the removal of stubborn stains.
Use a stain and water-repellent spray to protect your favourite footwear and bags, especially before wearing or using them for the first time. Use a shoe brush to get rid of surface dirt on leather footwear, then apply a nourishing shoe cream and polish up the shine with a soft cloth.
For suede and nubuck items, use a suede brush to carefully fluff up the nap, remove any stains and help maintain the material’s natural appearance and texture.

Laundry guide for woolOur wool garments retain their natural properties and are not superwash treated.
It is mainly the mechanical action during washing, rather than heat, that causes wool to shrink. You should therefore always hand wash our wool garments or machine wash them at approximately 30°C on the wool or delicate cycle. After washing, gently squeeze out the water then lay the garment on a towel and roll it up to press out excess water. Carefully re-shape while damp and place it on a flat surface to dry. Wool garments should not be washed too often. We recommend you hang them up to air or give them a gentle steam to freshen them up.

Laundry guide for linenLinen is a durable fabric that needs to be properly cared for to ensure it retains its wonderful properties.
Use a delicate wash cycle and a mild detergent. Both pure linen and linen blends can be washed at temperatures up to 60°C. Instead of washing curtains and other delicate items, give them a good shake or hang them out to air. Wash white linens separately from coloured linens. Linen items should not be tumble-dried. Hang them up to dry and either mangle while damp or iron on a high heat setting.

Needle and threadTry mending or patching small tears to give garments a longer-lasting life. A small hole or a stubborn stain can be easily fixed using adhesive fabric or fine embroidery.
Why not try the Japanese needlework technique, sashiko, as a decorative method of repairing clothes? Sashiko uses simple running stitches to create various patterns. Traditionally, sashiko uses white cotton thread on blue hemp fabric, but you can let your imagination decide which colours to use to create lovely geometric patterns.

New life with embroideryIt is always satisfying to add a personal touch to a garment or home accessory. Embroidery is a fabulous way to mend and bring new life to textiles that have become worn.
All you need is fabric, an embroidery needle, embroidery thread, scissors and a pattern – unless you want to embroider free-hand. Let loose your creative side! Choose colours and create designs that reflect your individual style. We love to draw inspiration from the natural world – animals, flowers, birds and spiralling leaves fill us with wonder and our designs exude a sense of vitality and joy.

Wear your clothes outThink sustainable and look after what you already have. Wear your clothes until they are completely worn out.
Our garments are designed with versatile functionality and timeless aesthetics in mind, aimed at ensuring lasting value and appeal! When the time comes to renew your wardrobe, be sure to recycle your retired garments. Upcycle clothes to give them a second life, give them away or sell them – for example through our stores. If there is no other option, place the garment in a textile recycling bin so the fibres can be re-spun.
