Dots, stripes, florals and multi-patterns: Gudrun’s patterned clothes can take any form and color imaginable. Gudrun’s patterns often start out as watercolors painted on an island in the archipelago. She hand paints patterns on a huge sheet of paper, and then brings them to the design team at the office. A pattern can be digitally printed directly on the garment, or quickly machine-sewn. Sometimes it can take some time, like when a skilled craftsperson hand embroiders the pattern directly onto the garment. It’s a lengthy process leading up to Gudrun’s patterned garments landing in the webshop and on store shelves.
