Colours of Rajasthan – tillbaka!

On Epiphany, I leave the cold but oh-so-beautiful snow-covered Stockholm with Gudrun and the photo team for vibrant India. First on the agenda is the photo shoot for the Midsummer and Autumn collections, deep in the countryside of Rajasthan and at our beloved spot, Samode Bagh. After an intense week, we bid farewell to the photo team and head to Jaipur, where colleagues from HK, Germany, Denmark, and the UK await. Under Gudrun's guidance, we will indulge in watercolor painting, visit suppliers, and try our hand at block printing.
Let the vibrant journey begin ❤️

We scout for the best location for our Midsummer pictures in the atmospheric morning mist.

While we take pictures, the everyday routine continues around us with gathering firewood, laundry, tending to the crops, and caring for the animals.

Many children came and watched curiously as we photographed. The children were on winter break from school to celebrate Makar Sankranti. It marks the transition from winter darkness to longer and warmer sunny days. Children celebrate by flying kites, and the goal is to make their kite soar the highest

In the countryside around Samode Bagh, women dressed in beautiful, traditional garments catch the eye, with color combinations so fantastic that one can scarcely believe they are real. Pure inspiration!
