I have always loved seeing the seasons change through the food that is growing in the ground or in the hedgerow and the different colours that come it and giving me so much joy creating recipes and then turning the colourful food into a plateful of vibrant seasonal deliciousness. I make the most of each season and try and combine the vegetables, fruit and berries in every meal whilst turning any surplus into jams, chutney and drinks. It is my way of expressing who I am and it gives me so much pleasure and joy when putting all the different colours into the pan and then onto the plate.
All this inspired me to set a cookery school here on the farm teaching people the delights and benefits of cooking the colours of the seasons, whether in hands on workshops and demonstrations and also providing healthy food for our yoga retreats and pop restaurant for our monthly music event in our kitchen. So every time people come to my kitchen they will experience the cosy and colourful Gudrun vibe.
