DUVEMÅLA – the journey to America from impoverished Småland
Inspiration for the fall collection struck while I was on my trip to Minnesota and at the exhibition we had at the American Swedish Institute (ASI). While there, I understood how once upon a time, the poor people of Småland embarked on a journey to the promised land of the west: America. Based on their history, my co-designer Pia created hand-knit cardigans, lovely jersey with historic patterns and much more.
