A palette from India’s RAINBOW
We’re getting creative with the gorgeous colors of “Indra’s bow” – a common name for the rainbow in India. On a trip to Hyderabad, India, we see how IKAT is made by skilled craftspeople. We’ve developed a so-called warp ikat, where the warp is dyed as a pattern before the fabric is woven. This series has a wide SPECTRUM of colors. The richly colorful “Hyderabad” ikat, the light and airy “Indra” checks, and the bold “Shiva” print. Pair with versatile, solid-colored garments – like the crinkled voile pants and my favorite cardigan. It now has beautifully textured checks.
