Wintry red rowan berries, a little fox and dancing snowflakes take shape in the pattern when our designer Pia sits down at the drawing board. Playing with an aesthetic from the turn of the last century, she weaves in her own family history – about her grandmother’s uncle Nisse, and his wife Alma, who left Kiruna, Sweden for a new life in Canada. Like many emigrants, their story is about courage, hope and finding one’s way in a new world, where nature becomes a connection to their home country and the people they left behind.

From Kiruna to Canwood
We’re traveling to turn-of-the-last-century Canada, where Alma from Sweden was one of many emigrants. A new country – but one with familiar forests and plenty of rowan berries, which foretold of a cold winter. In this series, you’ll find a woven linen blend, embroidery and knit jacquard, alongside a long cardigan in our own variegated yarn. Mix and match with soft jersey, adorned with patterns of berries.
