Gift wrapping

Hands tying a ribbon and placing decorations around Christmas presents in natural colours.

What to do – step by step:

You need:
•    Gudrun Sjödén’s white ribbon (or other ribbon)
•    Dried orange slices
•    Cinnamon sticks
•    Baubles
•    Rose hip sprigs, green branches or other natural materials (optional)
•    Scissors

•    Hot glue gun or thin steel wire (for extra adhesion, optional)

1. Wrap gifts in any paper you like – try natural paper for a rustic, festive feel.
2. Measure around the gift and cut a piece of ribbon that is long enough to tie a knot or bow.
3. Place the ribbon around the gift and tie a double knot or a bow at the top.
4. Attach a dried orange slice, cinnamon stick, holiday ornament or a little green twig under the ribbon, or tie it in the knot/bow (use thin steel wire or a drop of glue if anything needs extra stability).
5. Make sure the decoration is centered and that the ribbon looks nice.
6. Done! Now your gift has a rustic, personalized and nature-inspired feel.

Tips!
•    Combine different materials.
•   Vary the decorations to create an exciting look under the tree.
•    Work in layers.
•    Place several little decorations together under the ribbon for a fuller result.
•    Use different widths or bows of different sizes to create variation among the gifts.
