When we begin a photo shoot, Gudrun finds it very practical to start at the hotel. And that’s what we do here in the little city of Pondicherry. It has yellow walls and walls of verdant greenery. It has a long terrace outside of our rooms. These are the perfect settings for our colorful craftsmanship featuring block prints and comfy jersey. We’ve combined the different patterns in a wonderfully wide summer dress – in yellow, blue and light red.

Yellow in focus
A truly romantic collection! Our colors are inspired by Indian weddings, which are multi-day celebrations. A specific color is dedicated to each day. Yellow plays the lead role on the day of the Haldi ceremony, when the bridal couple have a blend of oil, rosewater and haldi (turmeric) applied to their face, neck, hands and feet.

When we work with block prints and patterns, we never know in advance what the result will be like – it’s like the garments have a spirit of their own.
Vibrant, colorful little flowers are used often in India as decoration – on tables, walls and in gardens, and even for beautiful garlands to wear around the neck. Ours are block-printed!
