Candle holders

A video showing hands decorating hand-painted ornaments and other ornaments from Gudrun Sjödén in a warm, creative crafting setting with dried oranges and ribbon.

What to do – step by step:

You need:
•    Gudrun Sjödén’s white ribbon (or other ribbon)
•    One or more candle holders
•    Scissors
•    Optional details from nature: rose hip sprigs, green branches, little twigs or dried oranges
•    A tea light or taper candle (depending on the candle holder)

1. Prepare the ribbon by measuring around the part of the candle holder where the ribbon will be tied. Cut a piece of ribbon to the correct length, adding a little extra for a knot or bow.
2. Hold the ribbon around the candle holder and carefully tighten, ensuring it is smooth and even.
3. Tie a decorative knot or bow. Adjust the bow until it is nicely in place.
4. Add details from nature, such as little twigs, rose hips or green leaves (optional).
5. Place the candle in the holder. Make sure the ribbon and any decorations are positioned far enough away from the flame.
6. Arrange the candle holders together – we suggest using an uneven number, and different heights.
7. Enjoy the cozy vibe!

Tips!
•    Combine several candle holders with ribbons of varying widths.
•    Match the ribbon with other textiles in the room to create a harmonious look.
•     Perfect as decoration for the holiday table.
