Holiday 2022
This year, $2 per product will go to Dalarnas Museum in Falun, Sweden. It is the county museum of Dalarna, with a mission to collect, safeguard, study and display objects, stories and information about cultural settings to describe the lives and livelihoods of the people of Dalarna. From pre-history to today. Our donation will be used in the work to revitalize the museum’s collection of textiles.

Holiday 2021
For the 2021 holiday season, Gudrun’s Good Deed was a scholarship for future artists who were either applying to or studying at schools of art/crafts/design. The initiative contributed to fully 12 scholarships and after careful consideration by Gudrun and the jury, the applicants who will receive a contribution to their artistic studies have now been selected.

Holiday 2020
During the 2020 holiday season, we donated SEK 50 from the sale of each “Kranskulla” cardigan to the Nordic Museum in Stockholm. First and foremost – thank you so much to everyone who contributed to Gudrun’s Good Deed in the 2020 holiday season. Together, you bought 2,835 “Kranskulla” cardigans and the proceeds have been donated in full to the Nordic Museum. We are absolutely delighted by this result – together, we have the power to make a difference! 

Holiday 2019
This year, 50 kroner of every “Ide” robe sold was donated to students and teachers in India. AND WE HAVE A RESULT! First and foremost – thank you so much to everyone who contributed to Gudrun’s Good Deed in the 2019 holiday season. Together, you bought 1,783 “Ide” robes and the proceeds were donated in full to students and teachers in India. We are absolutely delighted by this result – together, we have the power to make a difference!

Holiday 2018
GUDRUN’S GOOD DEED 2018 is going to the AID BY TRADE FOUNDATION. 10% of each “Zebra” dress and “Tanzi” sweater sold will go to the Aid by Trade Foundation (AbTF) – the umbrella organization of Cotton made in Africa (CmiA). 10% of each “Zebra” dress and “Tanzi” sweater sold will go to the Aid by Trade Foundation (AbTF) – the umbrella organization of Cotton made in Africa (CmiA). WHAT A DONATION! With your help, together we donated SEK 216,788 to Aid by Trade. This is a fantastic contribution to their work with Cotton made in Africa, which is improving living conditions for small producers, farmers and their families. THANK YOU so much to everyone who contributed. Together, we are making a difference.

Holiday 2017
GUDRUN’S GOOD DEED 2017 benefits the NEST organization. This year, SEK 100 of every hand-embroidered “Kantha” vest and SEK 50 of every “Kantha” bag sold will go to the organization Nest and their work to preserve handicraft traditions and to strengthen women all over the world. The totals are in, and together we’ve donated an incredible $15,802 to them. This money will support them in their work to preserve handicraft traditions and strengthen women all over the world. HOORAY for this WONDERFUL NEWS!
