Scotland’s rolling countryside is the perfect setting for a fantastic photo shoot. Especially when we’re photographing a collection that celebrates folk tales, women’s craftsmanship and nature’s grandeur. We’re inspired by a time when people lived close to nature and gave thanks to the gods for the earth’s bounty – the ancient Norse harvest festival. Woven fabrics and wool take center stage here, adorned with embroidery and knit textures. And just as in the past, the color palette is earthy and natural. Naturally, we’ve named these styles after colorful Viking goddesses: Frigg, Idun and Hildur.

Photo trip to historic placesWe go to Scotland to photograph this collection. The journey takes us through the rolling scenery of the Highlands, where grazing sheep roam freely with their lambs, side by side with charming “curly cows.” At the Trossachs National Park, we enjoy the incredible stillness and endless views. Our designs will definitely pop against the earth tones of the terrain.

Textured-knit patternsThe stone houses in the Scottish Highlands reflect a long history of adaptation to the rugged landscape and scarcity of timber. We’re delighted to photograph our styles in dark colors here.
We take photos at Duncan Family Farms and the little cottage in Arrochar, in the heart of Loch Lomond & the Trossachs National Park.

Colors from natureWe’re traveling back in time to the ancient NORDIC world, where, according to Norse mythology, we give thanks for life and the earth’s bounty. Here, we wear beautiful garments in colors inspired by NATURE – warm shades of red and yellow-brown paired with blue and charcoal gray. A few brighter accent colors represent the forest’s sweet berries. The series also incorporates BLACKBERRIES as a pattern design. These elegant pieces are made in soft materials with patterns that are embroidered, printed and textured-knit in lovely wool.
