Undyed materials can have different looks, depending on the fiber. Cotton has a naturally unbleached shade. Gudrun likes it when the seed hulls are visible. Wool comes in various shades depending on the sheep breed, ranging from dark brown to completely white. Linen also comes in several shades, but that classic linen hue has to be dyed. This part of the collection is inspired by the original colors of the fibers. Our traditional anorak in cotton with seed hulls is the signature piece – a jacket to pull on as the winter wind begins to blow. The Arktis sweater also features undyed wool with decorative pops of color. Isn’t the result beautiful?

 

Clothing in natural materials

Linen, wool and cottonWorking with unbleached and undyed materials was the idea behind this series. Linen, wool and cotton, sometimes with seed hulls left in the yarn. We’ve mixed in red, as in classic folklore, and we’re dressing in layers. Soft materials in melange-colored or rib-knit jersey are a wonderful base layer, paired with a windproof anorak, pants and a backpack. The cozy jacquard-knit sweater is perfect as a mid-layer. The wool socks with lovely hand-embroidery will keep you wonderfully warm. Pair them with embroidered hand-knit mittens and a hat, and finish with a beautifully crafted, block-printed scarf.
