All our purple dresses

It lives somewhere between red and blue. Sometimes it’s stately and dark – sometimes cheerful, sprightly and playful. We’re talking about purple, of course! Or violet, indigo, lilac, amethyst, plum – these shades have lots of lovely names. If you take a look around, especially in nature, you’ll see purple all over the place. Plums on a tree, with their lovely rich hue. Irises with their proud, gentle dance in the breeze. And if you’ve ever seen a field of lavender, you know it’s nearly impossible not to adore the color purple. We do too, which is why you can find this fabulous, multifaceted color on lots of our dresses.

We don’t think purple is a color for any particular age – a purple dress is perfect for all Gudrunistas. Purple can be full of surprises, with its richness and depth. This color offers the perfect balance of romance and drama, as well as mysticism, individuality and creativity. We’ve tried to capture these nuances in our purple dresses. For example: our solid purple jersey dress in organic cotton with short sleeves and pretty ruffles at the hem is a fabulous summer dress. Perfect for the beach, coffee on the terrace, or a guided tour at your favorite museum. In the evening as the sun sets and the temperature dips, pull on a pair of leggings and add a cardigan over your dress. Maybe an organic wool cardigan in black with a floral design, or an ocher cardigan with romantic embroidery? One plus side of purple is that it’s easy to combine with so many other colors. Try pairing purple with soft ivory, forest green, or mustard yellow.

Another example of a purple dress: if you adore dots as much as we do, try a purple dress with a sprinkling of little dots. A dress in linen is comfortable, breezy and soft, and will quickly become a wardrobe go-to. And if you want to wear it every day, that’s no problem at all. By combining it with different pieces, you can constantly renew the look.

How about pairing it with a longer knit vest on a Monday? On Tuesday, wear a pair of comfy pants under the skirt, and on Wednesday, try knit socks and stylish boots. For a meeting on Thursday at work, maybe you’ll add a knit jacket, and when it’s time for a casual look on Friday, a soft and comfy long-sleeved sweater is the perfect piece to pair with your purple dress. For the weekend, if it’s time for a party, then elevate the look with a shawl around your neck or a beautiful belt. See?
